We support women who have touched the Scottish criminal justice system and are choosing to make positive changes in their lives. Through the making of chocolates the women learn skills and experience which supports them as they fulfil their potential.
As well as building transferable skills our positive learning environment equips them with the skills they need to build resilience, self-esteem and confidence which will support them to make positive and lasting changes in their lives.
It’s more than what we do. It’s how we do it that’s important. Many women in the justice system have lived experience of abuse, trauma or neglect and live with mental ill health. Each has their own story but there is a common thread of low self-esteem and lack of confidence in each of them. To help them grow in confidence, build resilience and self-belief we work in a positive learning environment where mistakes are an opportunity for learning and personal growth.
