We are a friendly group of men who have come together to create our own shed in the Wee County. We would welcome new members to help us develop the shed and other projects aimed at promoting men’s health and well being in our local community. Even if you fancy a cuppa and a blether. The Wee County Men’s Shed was formed in 2016 to promote the well being of men of all ages living in the county of Clackmannanshire. It is affiliated to the National (Scottish) Men’s Shed Association and complies with all their policies and regulations. Our shed is somewhere groups of men (and women) can meet and undertake an activity together, but also where people can pop in for a chat and a coffee, find information about local services, meet new friends and help their local community.
Since it’s formation the Wee County Men’s Shed has become THE place for local community based organisations to go to in Clackmannanshire for community projects. We have built outdoor planters for many local village community gardens, for churches, and for Alloa railway station. We have built and installed village Christmas decorations; decorative lights, Santa’s reindeer and sled, and an illuminated peacock themed decoration. Wherever we can we use recycled materials and because many of the organisations https://openoralhealth.org/prednisone/ who approach us for help are themselves charities with very limited funds we try to deliver most of the projects free of charge. We currently have over 60 regular members.
